The Insititute for Social Value (then Social Value UK) was the Inspiring Impact partner for England.  Inspiring Impact had an ambitious vision to make impact practice the norm within the charity sector. This programme was delivered by 6 partners across the UK, Social Value UK, New Philanthropy Capital, Evaluation Support Scotland, NCVO Charities Evaluation Service, Wales Council for Voluntary Action and Community Evaluation Northern Ireland.

Running from 2012 to 2022, thousands of charities and social enterprises used the programme's free online resources, learning events and grant funding to improve how they plan, deliver, assess and review their services.

Following the closure of the programme, the Inspiring Impact website is no longer online. However many of the resources are still available through the NPC website.

Regional workshops

Social Value UK worked with regional roadshow partners to deliver a series of regionally-focused online workshops concentrating on:

  • teaching about impact management
  • connecting and engaging in a particular place / region
  • setting up for a potential local support network
  • make connections to charity networks such as ChEW, or regional groups
  • resource sharing and signposting (Inspiring Impact resources and all partners resources)
  • supporting charities in challenging times

The series covered 6 regions: South East, South West, Midlands, Yorkshire and Humber, North East and North West.

Interactive webinars

Social Value UK and the regional partner delivered three interactive webinars on impact measurement and management for each region.

  • Webinar 1: Using data to make decisions
  • Webinar 2: How to gather data – Qualitative or Quantitative? / An introduction to methods
  • Webinar 3: Working practices and organisational culture
