Kate Gräfe

Profile

Kate has over 25 years of experience in procurement and contract management in both public and private sectors. As Chief Procurement Officer for Ealing and Reading Councils, she implemented Reading’s Social Value Policy, linking social value delivery with local needs. A passionate advocate, Kate co-chairs the NSVTF Procurement with Purpose workstream and and previously contributed to National Audit Office seminars. Since joining Samtaler in 2024, Kate has supported clients with social value offer creation, social value bid support (including red review), local needs analysis and social value delivery. Kate is also a trustee for GRAFT Thames Valley, a micro-charity aiming to eradicate barriers to employment and training for disabled, neurodiverse people.
