ISV individual membership is for people who want to strengthen their practice, develop their knowledge, connect with others working in social value and contribute to the future of the profession. 

Whether you are established in your career, just starting out, studying, or recognised as an experienced leader in the field, there is a membership option designed for you.

Full Individual Member 

£150 + VAT per year 

For social value practitioners, professionals, academics, decision-makers and change-makers. 

Full membership is for people actively involved in social value who want to deepen their knowledge, grow their professional network, access member resources and contribute to the development of the field. 

Includes all individual member benefits. 

Fellow Member 

£200 + VAT per year
For experienced social value practitioners, professionals and academics with demonstrable expertise, experience and standing within the social value profession.

ISV Fellowship recognises individuals who have made a significant contribution to the social value field and can demonstrate a high level of professional experience, expertise and peer recognition.

Becoming a Fellow provides an opportunity to have your professional standing formally recognised while playing an active role in shaping and advancing the social value profession.

Fellowship benefits

Fellows receive all the benefits available to Individual Members, as well as:

  • FISV postnominals – the right to use FISV after your name, demonstrating your recognised professional standing within the social value field.
  • Fellowship digital badge – a professional digital credential recognising your Fellowship status.
  • Exclusive Fellow opportunities – invitations to dedicated Fellows’ roundtables, events and workshops, providing opportunities to connect and exchange knowledge with other experienced professionals.
  • Share your expertise – opportunities to contribute your knowledge and experience to ISV’s work, including developing resources and training content, speaking at events and supporting research and pilot programmes.
  • Contribute to thought leadership – opportunities to help shape conversations, good practice and the continued development of the social value profession.

Fellowship: £200 + VAT per year


Becoming an ISV Fellow

Fellowship is awarded through an evidence-based application and assessment process designed to recognise professional experience, expertise and contribution to the social value field. 

Applicants must be existing Full Individual Members of ISV before applying for Fellowship.

Early Career Member 

£80 + VAT per year 

For people in the first two years of their social value career. 

Early Career Membership is designed for professionals with 0–2 years’ experience who want to build their knowledge, confidence and connections as they develop their career in social value. 

This membership is available for a maximum of two years. 

Includes all individual member benefits. 

Student Member 

£50 + VAT per year 

For students with an interest in social value. 

Student Membership gives people in full- or part-time study an opportunity to connect with the social value profession, develop their understanding and access resources and events that can support their learning and future career.

For proof of student status, ISV will require one of the following: 

  • Student status/enrolment letter or email from their university, college or recognised training provider; 

  • Valid student ID card showing the current academic year/expiry date; or 

  • Screenshot/download from their student portal confirming current enrolment. 

 

The evidence should show at minimum the applicant's name, institution/training provider, course/programme and current study dates.

Student membership includes all individual member benefits. 

Concessionary Member

Available to individuals who meet one or more of the following circumstances below. Please tick all that apply to your circumstances and then sign the declaration. 

  • Unemployed / between roles – currently not in paid employment or self-employment and, where appropriate, actively seeking work. 

  • Recently made redundant – including individuals in a period of transition following redundancy. 

  • Career break – temporarily not working because of personal or family circumstances. 

  • Long-term sickness or disability – where this prevents or substantially limits paid employment. 

  • Unpaid caring responsibilities – where someone has stopped or significantly reduced paid work to care for another person. 

  • Parental leave – where an individual is on an extended period of maternity, paternity or adoption leave and has substantially reduced income. 

  • Financial hardship / very low income – potentially available on a case-by-case basis where an individual's income has significantly reduced.

Experienced, recognised professionals and academics

Student Member  Students studying at least 20 hours per week

Concessionary Membership  For individuals experiencing a significant change in their personal, employment or financial circumstances that has reduced their ability to work or earn.
